Rentometer: Find Out What Your Neighbors Pay For Rent

Rentometer

You would be lying if you said you were never curious to know what those that live around you pay for rent. Rentometer is a fun little website that geographically tags apartments surrounding your neighborhood with rent tabs using google maps.

Unfortunately, the website doesn’t have enough user data to differentiate what a first floor apartment pays versus say a fifth floor walk up in a given location BUT nonetheless it does the job.

ZzzZz Zeno Zit Zapper

Zeno Zit Zapper

Zeno, a sleek new thermal treatment acne device hit the market fall of 2006 featuring three models, all of which mimic the look and feel of the Motorola Razr without the annoying sound of some mp3 ring tones.  The acne device sells online and prices range from $150 – 200.  The Zeno claims to work by applying sustained heat therapy on pimples to destroy the bacteria that causes common acne in turn reducing healing time.

Zeno’s latest press release indicates that creator, Tyrell, recently donated $15,000 of proceeds from the pink model to Breast Cancer SPORE (Specialized Programs of Research Excellence) at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center (Texas University - - Zeno’s hometown).

I would have purchased my very own Zeno but my infomercial budget for the year was used up on the Magic Bullet.  Nonetheless, spokesperson Miss Alaska 2006 gave a testimonial admitting to bringing her handy dandy Zeno to “camping and fishing trips”. What better to do while fishing than pop zits?

Apple Goes One-To-One With Consumers

apple-trainer.jpg

Is it really that much of a surprise that Apple has extended their product line to also include “best friends”?  According to their website they will be staffing apple personal trainers (without the huge muscles) who are positioned as experts in all things Apple.  While the site offers limited information on this new service, it looks like the cost for securing the luxury of reserving time to speak to a sales associate that’s knowledgeable and capable of teaching you a thing or two is $99/year.

Watch out HP, looks like Apple is taking over making things personal again.  Hmm or maybe they are just charging you for the fact that their staff is required to know a thing or two about the products they are selling.  Anyway, interested candidates in digital photography assistance, website production help, iPod 101 classes, podcasting, getting the download on Apple TV, making music, putting together a presentation or last but not least bringing a dream project to life… call the geek squad’s worst nightmare, the apple jock.

Override Registration Process On Practically Any Website

Say goodbye to online registrations.  Simply hop over to this site and pop in the name of the website you are trying to gain access to and wha-la, a user name and passcode is served up to you faster than the time it took for Britney to cut her hair off.

Easy Ways To Get A Better Deal When Traveling

traveling-deals.jpg

Just a friendly reminder to remember to plan your vacation ahead this year …save your money for the bar.

Great Vacation Planning Websites:Air travel aggregators like bookingbuddy make it easy get up-to-date prices off of sites like expedia, travelocity, ultimate fares, orbitz, cheaptickets, cheapoair, and kayak

http://www.bookingbuddy.com/

Once you figure out which website is offering you the best bargain, search for some quick discount codes. Click open a seperate web browser and type in “Expedia Discount codes”. Most codes are 4-8 letters long and expire quickly so read the small print.  Some of the deals I have run into are things like 4th night free, gratis room upgrades, and $100 off airfare and hotel package deals.  The more time you have the more you should dig around.  Try word change ups like “CheapTicket.com Promotion Code” or “OrbitzCoupons”. Feel free to rinse and reuse for car rentals.

If your feeling saucy than take the advice of Daily Candy and go coastal in Costa Rica’s Black Turtle Lodge.  For $500 each you and three friends can sleep in a tree house, ride a zipline, play with dolphins and ride horses for five nights.
